The cost for ordering plans for individual homes shown on the site is $575.00 (this includes shipping & handling) for four complete sets; extra sets are $50.00 each. Optional apartment plans are available (for plans 'B' through 'H' only) for $250.00 for four sets; extra apartment plan sets cost $35.00 each.

In addition to the plans from The Affordable House Book, my offices provide several other services:

• WORKING DRAWINGS: ('blueprints'), also known as contract documents, to any of the featured dwellings: particulars (ordering plans, their contents & cost) are included in the publication and on the website.
  
  
• ARCHITECTURAL RENDERINGS: The architect will capture your residence or other favorite building in an original artwork similar to those found in 'The Affordable House' publication.

  DRAWN USING FINE-POINT QUILL PENS, RAPIDIOGRAPHS & WATERPROOF BLACK INDIA INK ON HEAVYWEIGHT DRAWING PAPER, THESE ARTWORKS ARE COMPLETED USING PAINSTAKING TRADITIONAL METHODS, SUCH AS VARIOUS LINE 'WEIGHTS', CROSS-HATCHING TECHNIQUES, AND DELICATE POCHÈ. EACH FEATURE EXACTING, INTRICATE DETAIL, AND EACH IS PERFORMED WITH CAREFUL ATTENTION. EACH MEASURES 1 1/4 SQ. FEET.

  The cost is $450.00 (U.S.) Several clear photographs, with one marked as being the angle you wish to have the building drawn from, along with a $200.00 retainer should be sent to the Staten Island office; a small copy of the work (establishing that it has been completed) will be sent within six business days. Upon our receipt of the balance, the artwork will be immediately shipped to the address you specify. Contact our office at (718) 667-4270 with your fax number; we will send you a sample.

• GENERAL NOTES & STANDARD DETAILS: applicable for residential construction of all types, these two 24" x 36" pages may be purchased separately from the home plans for $250.00. Included are 107 paragraphs and explanatory notes specify contractor's instructions and his responsibilities: the proper construction techniques and methods which should be employed & standards of numerous kinds which should be met: 175 finely drawn standard details used in construction (many categories of which offer alternatives from which the homeowner may select) , symbols, abbreviations & glossary: various schedules which will help the homebuilder organize their work, etc.
  
  
• COMMISSIONED BUILDINGS: original and unique home designs along with the working drawings for them are available to private clients: the fee for this service is $2,750.00. Interested persons should telephone my office at (718) 667-4270. Please ask for the office manager.
  
  
• REVISED AFFORDABLE HOME PLANS: many readers have told me that a that a featured home is almost, but not quite what they are looking for: in additional room, enlarged kitchen, change in cladding type or style of windows would be the solution for their needs. My office will amend, within reason, the plans for any home shown in the publication at an additional cost to the ordinary price of plans of $600.00. Please allow five business days for these special plans to be created.
